Appearance: Galatea does justice to her name with her porcelain skin contrasted by her long, dark, often-disheveled hair and chocolate brown eyes. Often the shortest girl in the class (she's 5'1"), she gets called out on her cuteness factor more often than anything else despite the fact that a closer glance at her leaves everyone in awe of her gorgeous looks.

Personality: Galatea has always blatantly yet effortlessly displayed her intelligence, despite the obvious fact that standardized academics are of little consequence to her. She manages to play the role of responsible student one minute, and legendary party girl the next. She prides herself on the fact that she's always had a way with words and, consequently, with people, a skill that has proven itself valuable time and again, particularly while trying to get out of the numerous scrapes she finds herself constantly involved in.

Background: The only daughter and younger child of a middle-class family, Galatea had always been exposed to magic, culture and the arts through her mother, a witch. She studied at an exclusive, Catholic girls' school until she turned 11 when her parents sent her to Hogwarts where she led an average, if sometimes unremarkable, life for the first three years. In her fourth year, however, sudden bouts of depression (likely led on by the mounting pressure from her parents and her recently-married older brother regarding the string of insignificant and dysfunctional relationships she found herself involved in) led her to seek professional help. In an attempt to "expand her social horizons", according to her therapist, she applied to several organizations within the school, including the car club. She didn't find her life's calling in the aforementioned organization, but it was there that she met her current fiancé who was speaking to the club on the subject of illegal magic use in racing.

Interests: Galatea has always been a bookworm, with her preferences leaning more towards the classics and the genres of history, art, and culture. She considers her paints, brushes, easels and canvases essentials to maintaining her sanity in Hogwarts after being torn from her loves of music and film, and has also made a name of sorts for herself in the culinary realm, having been an enthusiastic kitchen scientist since she was a child.
